Field Information Systems Architect is part of the ICT Field Services Team. They collect requirements, evaluates systems, and supervises group initiatives for specific business problems and acts as a backbone between multiple stakeholders (internal and external). They support translation of strategic goals and business objectives into future-state- technical capabilities.



  • Analyzes the organization details and the technological environment; Analyzes and documents technical and non-technical requirements
  • Handles the projects budget, prioritizes them, and monitors expenditure
  • Creates, leads, and supervises the execution of various field projects and maintains IT Field Catalogue services up to date
  • Participates in the IT Field strategy transition (culture and tools)
  • Sets up the collaboration framework of all stakeholders and establishes regular information flow
  • Translates technical projects details into language that management and non-technical stakeholders can understand
  • Proposes solutions and architectures to meet the ICRC's partners or beneficiaries needs, in collaboration with the HQ and IT Field
  • Builds a solution prototype or POC as well as participates in technology selection
  • Controls solution development
  • Supports project management
  • Identifies current technology trends, tests and documents potential solution use cases, ensures due diligence and internal alignments for building ICT as assistance capabilities


  • Master's degree in Computer Science or similar with high level of technical expertise in system and network architectures
  • At least 5 years' experience of working with complex system, network, and storage architectures
  • Good level of technical expertise in Linux systems and Open-Source Software
  • Ability to work with Microsoft server environments
  • Experience dealing with on-premises and cloud-native infrastructure and are knowledgeable about the best ways to deploy, integrate, and use technological solutions
  • Meticulous, proactive, innovation minded and open to new collaborations.
  • Excellent command of English and strong verbal and written communications skills (knowledge of French language is an advantage)
  • Experience in consulting, facilitating workshops, project management and working with multi-functional teams
  • Capable of converting business requirements into technical specifications and evaluating the relative costs for different technical solutions
