Legal Adviser (Full time)
The ICRC Regional Delegation in the Pacific is seeking a full-time Legal Adviser to be based in its Regional Delegation in Suva. The Legal Adviser will assist the Regional Legal Adviser to promote and support ratification and implementation of international humanitarian law treaties in Pacific Island countries, including by researching, analysing and summarising developments in national laws and practices.
The successful applicant will have a detailed knowledge of international humanitarian law, hold a Bachelor of Laws or a bachelor's degree in a related field, have experience in finding, analysing, interpreting and summarising written materials, and have strong communication, organisational and computer skills (MS Office). Knowledge and understanding of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and familiarity with the Pacific region would be an advantage.
