ICRC is recruiting an "Operations Officer for Beirut and Mount Lebanon" for the main files: Palestinian and networking (security)
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has been present in Lebanon since 1967 and has carried out its humanitarian work through different periods of conflict, including Lebanon’s 15-year-long civil war from 1975–1990. We are currently responding to the rapidly growing needs of displaced people fleeing war and violence across the region into Lebanon as well as the local communities hosting them.
We are based in Beirut and have offices in Tripoli, Tyr and Zahle.
Under the direct supervision and in support of the DHoD (Deputy Head of Delegation) the Operations Officer is the focal point for the ICRC activities in the governorates of Beirut and Mount Lebanon. He represents the ICRC at local level and contributes to the definition, implementation and monitoring of ICRC projects and activities in coordination with the management, and heads of departments. He is also responsible for monitoring security, developing and maintaining networking, as well as analyzing and following up the Palestinian file in support to the Deputy Head of Delegation.
