Colombia: Soldier released under ICRC auspices

A soldier in the Colombian army who had been missing since an attack on a military base in Teteye (Putumayo) on 25 June last was handed over to staff members of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on 19 July.
The soldier had been held since his capture by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia / People's Army (FARC-EP). He was in good health at the time of his release.
The ICRC’s services as a neutral intermediary were requested by the FARC-EP.
