ICRC elects new member

Geneva (ICRC) – At its meeting on 16 December, the Assembly of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) co-opted Professor Jürg Kesselring as a new member.
This brings the ICRC's membership to 15.
Professor Kesselring heads the neurology department at the rehabilitation centre in the Swiss town of Valens and holds a professorship at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich as well as the University of Berne. He carried out missions as a medical doctor for the ICRC between 1978 and 1982.
Professor Kesselring will take up his new duties at the ICRC on 1 January 2011.
