  • Al-Qusayr. Wounded people are taken to hospital in Lebanon. Al-Qusayr hospital is unable to cope with the influx of wounded people and is ill equipped to treat them. Patients and those transporting them risk their lives crossing the besieged city.
  • Al-Qusayr. A family takes shelter in the basement of an abandoned school. Their home was destroyed by shells. Like many families without the means to leave the city, they now live in this basement.
  • Millions of Syrians have fled – some abroad, some to other parts of Syria. This is a camp for displaced people in Latakia.
  • Idlib. People gather outside the warehouse of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC). The ICRC and the SARC distribute food parcels to several thousand displaced and local people.
  • The intensification of the fighting has seriously damaged infrastructure, endangering the water supply in particular. Here in Deir Ezzor, the ICRC and the SARC are installing a water tank.
