Yemen : ICRC delegate abducted
A delegate of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) was abducted by armed men on Saturday 21 April, near the town of Hodeida in northern Yemen.
At present, the ICRC has no information about the identities of the abductors or their motives. "We are very concerned. We are in contact with the authorities and other parties all over the country with the aim of resolving the situation as swiftly as possible," said Eric Marclay, the head of the ICRC’s delegation in Yemen.
The ICRC calls for the safe, immediate and unconditional release of its delegate.
