Job Vacancy: Regional Support Officer in Bogota

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is looking for suitable and motivated talent to fill the position of Regional Support Officer (ERP Supply Chain Management) and join our regional team based in Bogota (Colombia).

Purpose

The Regional Support Officer – ERP Supply Chain Management provides second-level user support on Supply Chain Management modules of JDE Edwards ERP, related software solutions and interfaces with legacy systems for ICRC delegations in Americas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or technical degree, preferably in supply chain management or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years professional experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Proficiency in the use of JDE or equivalent ERP software.
  • Excellent computer literacy (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent command of English and Spanish (French would be a strong asset).
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical thinking.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Solution oriented and with ability to take decisions according to the level of responsibility.
  • Previous experience in humanitarian work would be an asset.

Accountabilities and responsabilities 

  • Ensures that timely and appropriate second-level support is provided to users of JD Solutions (JDE Edwards, OSCAR Light, IRIS, ProFiles) and interfaces with previous system.
  • Solves simple to moderately complex problems encountered by users.
  • Ensures that unsolved or complex issues are referred to third-level support staff.
  • Provides data and reports to management.
  • Contributes to creating a shared knowledge base.
  • Ensures data consistency on supported sites.
  • Assists with training and/or post-go-live support for newly migrated sites.
  • Carries out exceptional processes for small sites with limited capacity.
  • Participates in testing new functionalities and reports on new releases.
  • On request, contributes to the BUILD phase of projects (e.g. contribution to design, participation in test campaigns).

General duties

  • Understands and adheres to the ICRC Code of Conduct.
  • Understands the roles of the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
  • Respects and observes staff regulations and security rules at all times.
  • Represents the ICRC in a professional manner at all times.
  • Develops and maintains a pleasant and conducive working environment with colleagues and line managers.
  • Performs all duties with the highest level of confidentiality in the interest of the employees and the ICRC.
  • May be asked to perform tasks not covered in this job description and to provide support to other departments when necessary.

Relationships

  • Internally, interacts with key users, third-level support staff and business analysts.
