The impact of war will be felt for years to come. The ICRC has served the people of Afghanistan for 30 years.
We won't stop now.
The people of Afghanistan have lived through 40 years of conflict. Humanitarian needs in the country are massive.
Nearly half of Afghans face serious food insecurity. Hospitals and clinics are closing because they do not have money or fuel. Winter is approaching and many families do not have the basics to keep warm.
The ICRC has been present in Afghanistan since 1987. Our team of over 1,800 staff are working across the country with the Afghan Red Crescent Society to help those whose lives have been scarred by war.
