More than one million people have been forced to flee their homes by the conflict. Some have found refuge elsewhere in Nigeria, while others have fled to Niger, Chad and Cameroon. Thousands have been killed. Hospitals and schools have been destroyed. Families have been torn apart, and children have been separated from their parents.
We are working with the Nigerian Red Cross Society to urgently distribute emergency aid and treat the sick and wounded. In Niger, Chad and Cameroon, the most urgent needs are for food, water, shelter, health care and reuniting families separated by the conflict.
But there is so much more to do. With your help we can be the sure sign of hope.
