Appeal from the ICRC Assembly

The situation in Ukraine is dangerous and deeply concerning – ICRC teams are already bearing witness to a large-scale humanitarian crisis and seeing increased distress in the people reaching out to us for help.

As a close friend of the ICRC Assembly, we are asking for your help to enable our life-saving work.

ICRC has been helping people affected by conflict in Ukraine for nearly eight years. As security allows, more than 600 of our staff are responding to the urgent needs, including supporting health facilities and working to help more than 3 million people access clean water – and more.

The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement was created to act for humanity in moments such as this. The ICRC and its Movement partners are resolutely committed to providing protection and assistance to people affected by the crisis in Ukraine. But we cannot do so alone. All our funding is voluntary, and we ask you to please give generously to enable our teams to continue to help people in urgent need in Ukraine.

If you'd like to discuss your potential contribution or engagement, please reach out to your contact in the Assembly or Lauren Ellis via lellis@icrc.org

Please also share the ICRC's public appeal widely within your networks. Thank you.
