Mali: ICRC aids wounded and displaced as fighting continues

The fighting in north and central Mali has forced hundreds of people to flee their homes. Hospitals are facing an influx of casualties and a number of people have been detained. Despite the fighting, the ICRC is out on the ground, operating from its offices in Mopti and Gao, helping the displaced and supporting the life-saving work of Gao hospital. From the Malian capital Bamako, ICRC delegation head Jean-Nicolas Marti talks about the situation and the ICRC’s response.
