PURPOSE

The intern helps the Cooperation Department mainly with admin and supports key partnership activities with the
National Society of East Asia Region, as well as research assignments.

SCOPE

  • Providing general administrative support to the team.
  • Assisting with document management, filing, and organization of internal materials.
  • Collecting, verifying, and organizing data from online and other relevant sources.
  • Conducting background research on assigned topics and compiling relevant information.
  • Assisting in the preparation of internal notes, summaries, and reports.
  • Supporting the team in other ad hoc tasks as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good command of written and spoken English, analytical capacity preferred
  • Strong ability to collect, verify, and organize data from multiple sources
  • Well organized, responsible, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good computer skills, especially for Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

WORKING HOURS

  • 5 days per week

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Understand and adhere to the seven Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
  • Understand and adhere to the ICRC Code of Conduct
  • Understand the roles of the components of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement
  • Respect and observe staff regulations and security rules at all times
  • Represent the ICRC in a professional manner at all times
  • Develop and maintain a pleasant and conducive working environment with colleagues and line managers
  • Perform all duties with the highest level of confidentiality in the interest of the employees and the ICRC
  • May be asked to perform tasks not covered in this job description and to provide support to other departments when necessary.
