Highlights of ICRC Activities in Venezuela and the Caribbean in 2025
In 2025, the ICRC strengthened its action to protect and assist the most vulnerable people in Venezuela and the Caribbean, within the framework of its neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian mandate.
Using an approach focused on human dignity, resilience and sustainability, the ICRC has worked closely with the Red Cross Movement in Venezuela and the Caribbean, national and local authorities, and other civil society actors. This joint effort has maximized the impact of the ICRC’s humanitarian action, responding to the most pressing needs and promoting sustainable solutions for affected communities.
Here are some of the highlights of our work in 2025:
The ICRC delegation in Caracas works to mitigate the humanitarian consequences of the violence. It also carries out activities related to its mandate and other immediate needs in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Suriname.
