The ICRC's regional delegation in Brazil strives to reduce the humanitarian consequences of armed violence in urban areas, to restore contact between migrants and their families, and to help alleviate the suffering of missing persons' family members. The ICRC also promotes international humanitarian law (IHL) and humanitarian principles.
