The Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) develops activities in the region and works in partnership with local governments, organizations and communities to respond – and promote responses from the authorities – to the humanitarian consequences of armed violence and the needs of migrants. The ICRC also works promoting and adopting the International Humanitarian Law (IHL), International Human Rights Law (IHRL) and humanitarian principles.
