In the context of the ICRC’s evolving operational strategy and streamlining of assistance towards sustainable action integrated in the public health system, the Health Field Officer plays a pivotal role in maintaining national-level engagement and preparing for a responsible hand-over of selected health programmes. 

The position supports the transition from direct implementation to an impact-focused model driven by stakeholder collaboration, system influence, and policy dialogue.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong partnerships and system-level influence in achieving outcomes that align with ICRC’s objectives.
  • Deepen engagement with key stakeholders and facilitate a smooth transition of programs, ensuring that institutional knowledge is transferred, and that collaborations are reinforced.
  • Partner across teams to ensure consistency in stakeholder engagement and transition planning
  • Support reporting, analysis, and planning exercises related to national-level Health engagement.

Required profile

  • University degree in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, Health Systems Management, or a related field.
  • Proficient program management skills and team – building competencies
  • Excellent network of local health authorities and/ or groups of interest
  • At least seven years of total experience (including two years of clinical experience)
  • At least five years of humanitarian experience
