The Logistics Site Manager is in charge of the logistics activities within the sub-delegation, ensuring that logistics systems are in place. They provide technical and operational support in the areas of order management, procurement, transportation, warehouse operations, fleet management and reporting, in accordance with the ICRC’s logistics standards and local legislation. The person shall also handle additional responsibilities to support the administration and management in all activities of Zamboanga operations.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing logistics procedures on site in accordance with the logistics strategy for the country and the delegation’s financial procedures
  • Manages requests and ensures that they are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Plans and oversees procurement activities
  • In charge of fleet management, transport and distribution activities
  • In charge of capacity building and HR-related matters for logistics on site
  • Facilitates administrative tasks for the Sub-delegation including flight booking, hotel or function hall reservation, transportation, service agreements, bills and utilities payments.
  • Takes charge of the site's welcome-related tasks pertaining to handling arrangements for guests and ICRC staff, official mails, management of office supplies.  
  • Monitors the site’s welcome services and task management database.  

Required profile

  • University degree in business, systems engineering, supply chain management, administration, accounting or equivalent in related field.  
  • At least 3 years professional experience in Logistics or Supply Chain management
  • People management experience is an advantage  
  • Prior experience in management of administrative tasks and/or welcome services is considered an asset.  
  • Proficiency in the use of JDE or equivalent ERP software.
  • Excellent computer literacy (Word, Excel).  
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.  
  • Previous experience in humanitarian work and knowledge of any local dialects are a plus.  
  • Demonstrated ability to work under high-stress and in conflict areas.
