28-06-2013 Feature

The ICRC's people are among its greatest strengths. Talip has been working for the ICRC in Kyrgyzstan as a driver for the last 10 years. Before that he worked for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for 10 years and before that he spent ten years working for his National Society. With his 30 years of experience Talip is a true "man of the Movement."

In this interview, Talip explains why he is working for the International Movement of the Red Cross and Red Crescent and looks back over his time with all three of its components – National Society, Federation and ICRC. As he points out, he has been with the Movement for a fifth of its 150-year history!

We also feature celebrations in Bishkek and Osh on 8 May 2013 to mark the 150th anniversary of the ICRC, held in conjunction with the Red Crescent Society of Kyrgyzstan.
