In this reference report, the ICRC presents its multidisciplinary approach to addressing sexual violence in armed conflict, which is based on more than a decade of experience. It highlights good practice developed through its survivor-centred programming, policy engagement, operational research and activities carried out on behalf of people entitled to protection under IHL. The report consolidates the lessons learned during implementation of its Strategy for Addressing Sexual Violence (2018–2025) with a view to strengthening collective action on this pressing issue.
