India

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral, and independent organization. In partnership with national Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies partners, we work to strengthen preparedness and response on humanitarian emergency, promote understanding and implementation of International Humanitarian Law and reconnect families with the missing through our Restoring Family Links networks. Present in India since 1982, we work across India, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives from our regional presence in New Delhi.

Volunteers of the Indian Red Cross Society travel in a boat to flood-affected districts in Assam, India, to distribute essential items.
