The ICRC and China: cooperation in humanitarian forensics

As a result of armed conflict, other situations of violence, or natural disasters, people can get separated from their loved ones, go missing, or lose their lives. Forensic systems and institutions play a vital role in addressing these humanitarian challenges.
Medicolegal systems and forensic institutions play an essential role in addressing these issues of humanitarian concern.
Recently, during a visit to China, Cheryl Katzmarzyk, the ICRC's Forensic Coordinator for the Asia-Pacific region, shared insights into the ICRC’s cooperation with various partners in China, highlighting ongoing collaboration in the field of humanitarian forensics.
