Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi: January to June 2025 Facts & Figures
In the first half of 2025, the humanitarian landscape was shaped by multiple crises affecting millions worldwide. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) focused on addressing the consequences of armed conflicts and other situations of violence, while promoting awareness, respect, and implementation of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) among authorities, security forces, and academia in Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi.
Working closely with Uganda Red Cross, Rwanda Red Cross, and Burundi Red Cross Societies, we also helped restore family links for people separated by conflict and violence across the Great Lakes Region.
