The Assembly Council
Responsibilities and tasks
The Assembly Council is a subsidiary body of the Assembly. It ensures the smooth functioning of the ICRC, in particular as regards human resources and financial management. It approves budget extensions. It prepares the Assembly's discussions on financial matters, particularly those requiring the Assembly's approval with regard to changes in the financial reserves, ICRC funds and foundations, and budgets. It helps identify potential candidates for Directorate positions. The Assembly Council may carry out any of the Assembly's duties in situations requiring an urgent decision.
Composition
The Council is composed of seven Assembly members (see Internal Regulations, Articles 21 to 25)
