Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark visits ICRC

Geneva (ICRC) - Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, the Commissioner of the Danish Red Cross, paid an official visit to the Geneva headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on 23 August in the context of the close cooperation between the Danish National Society and the ICRC.

A working session was devoted to an exchange of views on the ICRC's humanitarian activities in various situations of armed conflict and on the organization's cooperation with the armed forces in many countries.

The Crown Prince also took part in a demonstration of the communication systems used by the ICRC for maintaining permanent contact between headquarters and delegates in the field, and spoke to a Danish ICRC staff member.
