Croatian president visits ICRC

Geneva (ICRC) – On 10 December Mr Stjepan Mesic, the president of the Republic of Croatia, paid an official visit to the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), where he was received by ICRC President Jakob Kellenberger and senior officials of the organization.
During the ensuing working session, discussions focused mainly on relations between the Croatian authorities and the ICRC and on the activities which the organization has been carrying out in Croatia for more than 10 years. The recent International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent and the ICRC’s operational priorities for 2004 were also brought up.
