These families lived in fairly isolated areas near the border. We have been responding to their needs since the onset of the crisis, providing them with regular rations of food and basic health services through our mobile clinics.
Due to the geographical remoteness, the Bangladeshi authorities have relocated families from the border areas to the Kutupalong camp, 36 kilometres from Cox's Bazar.
To aid this process, the ICRC provided families with emergency food packages as they reach their final destination inside the camp.
Volunteers of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) assisted families on their journey to Kutupalong camp.
Some family members managed to reconnect with their loved ones after the relocation.
Along with the BDRCS, we are supporting families that are being relocated from border areas by giving them basic essentials to cope with the new environment.
