Mary Allison Cook lost the use of her legs when she was only three years old. But being in a wheelchair has never been a disability for Mary.

"I grew up using a wheelchair and not having the use of my legs. But it was never that big of a deal for me because I had access to sports," says Mary. "I learned that I could swim, I could play basketball ... I could do all these things with my body, even though I used a wheelchair."

Today, Mary is a U.S Paralympic Gold Medalist and a wheelchair basketball trainer at the Battambang Regional Physical Rehabilitation Centre in Cambodia.
