On the Day of the African Child, the ICRC is recognizing the bravery and resilience of children who have been injured and disabled by war, accident or disease. Tahir is a young boy living in Chad who never had the use of his legs because of a rare bone disease. This video shows the fantastic journey that Tahir takes, with the help of the Kabalaye physical rehabilitation centre, as he learns to walk and become independent.
