Zimbabwe: Improving the health of prisoners

02 November 2016

The International Committee of the Red Cross supports the efforts of the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service (ZPCS) to treat malnourished inmates in Zimbabwe's prisons.

This collaboration led to the introduction of corn soya blend porridge that is produced from raw materials grown on prison farms. The porridge is used to treat moderate adult malnutrition. This video highlights the impact this initiative has had on the health of inmates.
