Sudan: Preventing lifelong disability by supporting ‘club foot program’

Clubfoot is a congenital deformity where a baby is born with one or both feet facing inwards and downwards, preventing them from placing the soles of their feet flat on the ground.

Detecting and treating clubfoot before a baby starts walking, prevents the child from a painful and difficult early walking experience and a lifelong disability. The Khartoum Cheshire Home, is the only centre in Sudan offering this treatment and is receiving patients from across the country including Darfur.
