Diabetes and its complications represent an increasing global challenge. This guidance document has been created to help clinical teams in the field to organize care for diabetic patients at primary health care/hospital and or physical rehabilitation level. It provides both clinical and technical information aiming at strengthening a interprofessional approach and the continuum of care. It includes tools and illustrations that will help medical and paramedical staff to test and categorize diabetic patients with foot complications and elaborate an efficient treatment plan. One section is particularly designed for orthotists who will build devices preventing ulceration and severe conditions leading to amputation.
