Our work in Romania

The ICRC in Romania supports the humanitarian response to the international armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine. In partnership with the Romanian Red Cross, we seek to restore contact between family members separated by the conflict and promote the proper use of the red cross emblem. We also support Romanian Red Cross Society on the emergency preparedness and communications.

Our work with the Red Cross of Romania and other National Societies

In response to the international armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the ICRC scaled up its activities, setting up a regional delegation covering Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. We work in close collaboration with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and National Societies in the region to provide humanitarian aid.
