The On-Call Driver transports people and goods to different areas within the ICRC Area of Responsibility in a safe and timely manner, in accordance with ICRC internal security rules and national traffic laws. 

Main responsibilities

  • Drives different types of ICRC vehicles (manual or automatic) while strictly following internal security rules and national traffic laws;
  • Reports to Logistics Assistant any irregularities noticed in the vehicles;
  • Ensures proper fuel consumption and cleaning of vehicles; and
  • Loads and unloads goods on attributed vehicle.

Required profile

  • High school or college level education;
  • At least 5 years’ professional driving experience preferably in an International Non-Government Organization context;
  • Valid Professional Driver's License for at least 5 years;
  • Knowledgeable on 4x4 vehicle driving and use of very high frequency (VHF) radios;
  • Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment;
  • Basic mechanic skills; and
  • Good communication skills in Bisaya, English and Filipino.
