The Resource Mobilization Division (REM) of the ICRC manages the institutional relationship between the organization and its various donors.
Within REM, the Clearing House unit helps donor relationship managers to negotiate, conclude and manage successful and lasting relationships with donors and partners, by ensuring that ICRC commitments comply with ICRC internal corporate policies and frameworks, and its capacity to carry them out. As part of its activities, the Clearing House unit manages the due diligence and ethical screening assessment of potential private sector entities that wish to mobilize financial, technical and in-kind support to the ICRC mission and mandate. The Due Diligence Specialist monitors the relationship with private sector entities to ensure that it does not adversely affect the ICRC’s reputation or ability to carry out its neutral, impartial and independent humanitarian activities.
