Workshop: Code of conduct and humanitarian principles

In partnership with the Muslim Charities Forum, the International Council of Voluntary Agencies and Islamic Relief, the ICRC is inviting registrations for a weekend workshop on the Code of Conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief, humanitarian principles and human development in Islam. This workshop is aimed at people working in the fields of humanitarian aid and development.

The workshop will focus on procedures that form essential components of the Code of Conduct and humanitarian principles. A second part of the workshop will cover Islamic perspectives on poverty and development.

At the end of the two-day event, participants will be able to use the Code of Conduct to translate humanitarian principles into practice, and will be familiar with the context and relevance of the Code to their work.

Participation in the workshop is free, but attendees will have to cover their own travel and accommodation costs.
