All generations come together for a fun day out.

Two children meet Henry.
Red Cross publications draw the crowds.
Perhaps inspired by the gaze of Armenian composer and musicologist Komitas Vardapet, the musicians gave of their very best during a three-hour concert.
One small spectator gets a backstage view of proceedings.

Sardarapat Secondary School (Armavir) presented a show inspired by the Battle of Solferino, highlighting the origins and mission of the Red Cross. Guests of honour included the families of missing persons and representatives of the Armenian Red Cross.

The campaign got off to a flying start on 7 and 8 May in the capital Yerevan thanks to the combined efforts of the Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS), the International Federation and the ICRC.
An Armenian version of Henry Dunant’s “A Memory of Solferino” was presented to journalists at a press conference. Later, a procession led by 60 ARCS volunteers paraded through the streets of the capital to the central park, next to the National Conservatory. The park had been specially decorated for the occasion with symbols related to the Red Cross Movement and Red Cross volunteers presented a range of activities.
Finally, four jazz orchestras and a rock band entertained a large crowd of spectators.
