Belgium: Introductory seminar for students on international humanitarian law

The College of Europe and the ICRC recently held their eleventh introductory seminar on international humanitarian law for students. The event ran from 24 to 26 March, and focused on implementation of IHL by the European Union.
The course was open to students at the College of Europe, together with those on postgraduate courses in European law/politics in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Participants who completed the programme received a certificate of participation.
A similar course will take place on the Natolin campus of the College of Europe on 2-4 April 2014. This and the March event were made possible by support from the Swiss government.
