Empty chairs, waiting families

23 April 2017

Empty Chairs, Waiting Families is a memorialisation project for the families of people who went missing during armed conflicts in Lebanon which began in 1975.

They express their suffering by painting memories of their loved ones on symbolic chairs.

This project was a partnership between the ICRC in Lebanon, ACT for the Disappeared, in collaboration with Artichoke Studio.
