Authorities have the responsibility to ensure safe and dignified burials for those who died of COVID-19. In the process, authorities need to consider public health issues, forensic guidelines, but also religious burial traditions and customs.
To clarify some of the key messages on the dignified management of the dead for those of Christian faith, we summarized information based on references compiled from the authorities, international agencies, religious sector and the ICRC forensic unit.
