Syrian refugees in Iraq: For the sake of their son

Ahmad Mahmoud's son is paralysed. The lack of a stable electricity supply meant he could no longer receive the treatment he needed in Syria. So Ahmad took his son and the rest of the family to Sulaymaniyah in northern Iraq. The electricity supply is rock-solid here, but Ahmad wants to go home.





This short film is part of a series of five on the plight of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. In this five films we look at the difficulties Syrian refugees are encountering as their painful exile continues, and at what we are doing to help.
