Welcome to our annual photography contest. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Photography Award is an annual photography contest, launched for the first time back in 2021, to encourage Iraqi photographers to highlight humanitarian issues affecting local communities. This year, we invite you to explore the theme of "Agriculture".

Agriculture: Heritage and Wealth

In the heart of Mesopotamia—where the first seeds of civilization were sown—Iraq’s story with agriculture began. From the fertile plains between the Tigris and Euphrates, ancient communities pioneered farming techniques that shaped human history. Today, agriculture remains not just a livelihood, but a cultural legacy and a vital source of wealth for generations of Iraqis.

This year's photography contest invites you, Iraqi photographers, to explore the theme of "Agriculture" through your lenses, which will tell us a story of beauty, resilience, and authentic traditions rooted in our land.
