This briefing note presents the findings of research conducted with families of missing persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus and Nepal to examine their role in fostering peace. Qualitative interviews were carried out with families of the missing and leaders of their associations. The findings reveal the role that families can play in reshaping narratives and fostering empathy, placing them at the forefront of building lasting peace.
