The Accountant is responsible for the general accounting and reconciliation of inventories. She/he performs recording and analysis, assures proper understanding and reporting of financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares accounting entries in the accounting software (IRIS) on a regular basis.
  • Helps ensure that operations run smoothly through efficient cash-flow management, covering the fund needs of the delegation.
  • Performs regular integrity checks of accounting entries and account balances.
  • Participates in monthly closing activities and is responsible for part of them.
  • Provides support to other departments and responds to semi-routine and non-standard inquiries when necessary.
    Identifies anomalies or other issues and proposes solutions to his/her supervisor.

Required profile

  • Accountancy degree
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license an asset.
  • 3 – 5 years of accounting experience or similar field.
  • Experience with international organization is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (IRIS, JDE etc.) is an advantage.
  • Basic technical skills (inventory and/or cost accounting, reconciliation).
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures and able to follow instruction.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain high level of performance.
