China: ICRC, Tsinghua University join hands to advance humanitarian awareness

The Regional Delegation for East Asia of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Tsinghua University's School of Journalism and Communication (TSJC) joined forces on March 13, 2024 to advance communication, media engagement, and humanitarian awareness.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed at the ICRC's Regional Delegation for East Asia in Beijing.

The partnership will enable ICRC and TSJC to jointly work on crisis reporting, media engagement, tackling misinformation and disinformation in the digital era, and technology and data communications. The two sides will also explore specific contexts affected by armed conflicts from the perspective of access to information or the lack thereof and its humanitarian consequences.
