Many families in Ukraine are again facing the prospect of living without power, running water and heating this winter. More than 3,000 schools have been damaged or destroyed, resulting in the disruption of education for more than 5 million children.

The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is on the ground providing food, clothing, hygiene supplies, clean water, cash and voucher assistance, evacuations, legal and protection services, as well as restoration of family links. Ukrainian Red Cross teams are bringing lifesaving assistance, protection and hope to the most vulnerable, while ICRC continues to provide vital work on both sides of the frontline.

The strength of our Movement comes from our ability to reach across frontlines and reconnect people on the other side of the world. We are committed to supporting individuals and communities affected by this armed conflict, no matter where or who they are or how challenging it is to reach them, for as long as is needed.
