Lake Chad
in focus

Situated in north-west Africa, the Lake Chad region – Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon, Chad – has been ripped apart by conflict.

Civilians have been targeted and killed in the Lake Chad crisis. Over 2.4 million have been forced to flee their homes, while millions are in need of food, water, shelter and access to health care.

Here's the latest news coming out of Lake Chad:

  • Hunger in Nigeria
  • Nigerian children
  • Nigerian women
  • Refugee crisis in Nigeria
