The ICRC's regional Delegation in Dakar assists victims of violence in Casamance and visits detainees.
We support the Red Cross Societies, promote international humanitarian law and encourage his implementation.
We are making the voices of people affected by armed conflict heard through advocacy with political decision-makers and civil society.

In 2022 :

    people have better access to drinking water, thanks to the construction of hydraulic wells with solar pump and drainage equipment.
  • 5 460
    people received income support through financial aids and trainings in poultry farming.
  • 1 214
    people including arms-bearers, political and community leaders, administrative authorities, students and journalists have been made aware of IHL and the ICRC.
  • 1 605
    people were made aware of the risks of mines and explosive remnants of war.
