Fear of being killed, kidnapped, or of becoming a refugee in one’s own country is ever-present. According to the Iraqi Red Crescent Society, around 99'000 families were displaced last year. The ICRC supports displaced families (many of which are female-led) with essential items such as food, drinking water, blankets, hygiene kits and, if necessary shelter material.
