The ICRC's office in Harare monitors the humanitarian situation, promotes international humanitarian law, restores contact between family members separated by conflict and works in partnership with the Zimbabwe Red Cross Society to enhance their emergency-response capabilities.

    Launched 3 RedSafe kiosks in Zimbabwe. RedSafe is a mobile application and website that allows migrants to access a variety of digital services.

    Conducted joint workshops with the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) to train their officers at HQ and provincial levels on the registration of missing migrants.

    Since the beginning of the Missing and Deceased Migrants project, positively closed 44 cases (42 migrants found alive and 2 deceased); 91 cases are still pending.

    Assessed trainings done by two trainers from the Air Force of Zimbabwe in which 40 students were in attendance. The trainers had previously been trained by the ICRC in 2019.
